Overview
Curbly is currently in a pre-launch phase, and paid subscription billing is not yet active.
This Cancellation Policy describes the cancellation structure Curbly expects to use once paid subscriptions become available, including how cancellation requests, future billing, refunds, and scheduled service are intended to work.
This policy may be updated before commercial launch.
No long-term contract.
Curbly is designed to be flexible. Once paid subscriptions launch, customers will be able to cancel without a long-term service commitment.
No Long-Term Commitment
Curbly does not intend to require long-term residential service contracts for standard Curbly Valet subscriptions.
Once paid billing is live, customers may request cancellation of their subscription at any time through their Curbly account.
There are no early-termination fees for standard month-to-month residential service unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.
Community and custom agreements
This policy applies to standard residential subscriptions. HOA, property-management, or custom community arrangements may contain separate cancellation terms under an applicable Service Agreement or written contract.
Where a valid separate written agreement exists, those service-specific terms may control as permitted by law.
How to Cancel
Once paid subscriptions launch, cancellation is intended to be self-service from your Curbly account:
- 1Go to Billing & Payments
- 2Select Manage Plan
- 3Choose Cancel Curbly Valet
- 4Confirm cancellation
You may be asked for an optional cancellation reason to help Curbly improve. Cancellation is not intended to require a phone call, a conversation with a sales representative, or an email to support unless self-service cancellation is temporarily unavailable.
Because billing is still pre-launch, this self-service cancellation flow is not active in your account today.
When Cancellation Becomes Effective
Once paid subscriptions launch, a standard cancellation will generally take effect at the end of your current paid billing period.
When you cancel, your subscription will typically remain active through the billing period you have already paid for. Until that date, scheduled service may continue and your account may remain active.
After the cancellation effective date:
- Future renewal stops
- No new recurring subscription charge should occur
- Scheduled service ends unless another arrangement applies
Immediate service termination
You may request that service stop before the end of your current billing period.
If you choose immediate termination, future scheduled service may stop immediately or as soon as operationally practical. Unused time does not automatically qualify for a refund, and any refund or credit will depend on the circumstances described in the Refunds section below.
Requesting immediate termination is not the same as deleting your account or account records.
Future Billing
Once cancellation becomes effective:
- The subscription should no longer renew
- Future recurring charges should stop
- You should retain access to billing records where available
If a cancellation request is made after a renewal has already processed, that charge may be handled under the Refunds and Prorated Amounts section below.
Payments are not live today. This section describes how billing is expected to work when paid subscriptions become available.
Refunds and Prorated Amounts
As a general rule, payments for an active billing period are not prorated simply because a customer chooses to cancel partway through that period. Curbly may still provide a refund or credit where appropriate, including in the situations below.
New billing period with no service yet
If a recurring charge has just processed and no Curbly service has occurred during the new billing period, Curbly may provide a full refund of that renewal charge upon a timely cancellation request.
Curbly cannot provide service
If Curbly permanently ends or cannot provide prepaid service for operational reasons unrelated to customer misconduct, Curbly may refund or credit the unused prepaid portion as appropriate.
Customer-controlled access issues
Service attempts affected by circumstances within the customer’s control generally do not automatically qualify for a refund, because an operator may already have traveled to or attempted the stop. Examples include:
- A locked gate
- Inaccessible bins
- Incorrect access instructions
- Bins not placed at the approved exterior handoff location
- Unsafe property conditions
- Undisclosed access restrictions
Service issue review
If you believe Curbly failed to perform an eligible scheduled service, you may submit a service issue for review. Possible outcomes may include a correction, a service credit, a refund, or another appropriate resolution. Curbly cannot guarantee a specific remedy in every case.
Already-Scheduled Service
If cancellation is scheduled for the end of your current billing period, eligible service already scheduled before that end date may continue normally.
If you select immediate termination, future scheduled service may be removed from the route.
Curbly may need reasonable processing time to update existing route schedules, so a change may not appear instantly.
Failed Access or Unavailable Bins
Curbly provides exterior-accessible service only. Service may be unable to proceed if:
- Bins are not accessible
- A required exterior gate is locked
- Gate or access information is inaccurate
- Bins remain inside an attached garage
- Bins are not at the approved exterior handoff location
- Pets or hazards prevent safe access
- Property instructions are incomplete
- The operator cannot safely reach the bins
If Curbly reasonably attempts service but cannot complete it because of access conditions within the customer’s control, the visit may still count as an attempted service and may not qualify for a refund or credit. If you think something went wrong on our end, please tell us — we review service issues case by case.
Service Pauses and Temporary Changes
Curbly may introduce temporary service pauses or vacation holds in the future.
Until that feature is available, customers may need to either keep service active or cancel and re-enroll later.
Where scheduling changes are supported in your account, you can use those existing options to adjust your service details.
Curbly-Initiated Cancellation
Curbly may suspend or terminate service for legitimate reasons, including:
- Repeated unsafe access conditions
- Fraud or abusive conduct
- Misuse of the platform
- Nonpayment once billing is live
- Service-area changes
- Inability to safely service the property
- Repeated materially inaccurate account or property information
- Violation of the Terms of Service or an applicable Service Agreement
- Legal or regulatory requirements
Where reasonably possible, Curbly will provide notice before ending service. Immediate suspension may be necessary in some circumstances, such as safety concerns, suspected fraud, or legal requirements.
If Curbly permanently ends prepaid service for operational reasons unrelated to customer misconduct, an appropriate refund or credit for unused prepaid service may be provided.
Pre-Launch Notice
Billing is not live yet.
Curbly is currently in pre-launch. Customers are not being charged a recurring Curbly subscription through the preview experience.
The cancellation and refund procedures described on this page are intended to explain the structure Curbly expects to use when paid service launches.
Because the self-service cancellation flow depends on billing being active, it is not available today. Curbly may update this policy before billing becomes available.
